So how does this stuff work? I'm not convinced.
Many people are in the same boat, and really the best way to really make a judgment about the Law of Attraction is to do a little research, and try some of the methods out.
Many people even try a few methods with no success, and from there on out they are convinced it's just hocus pocus. I assure you, Law of Attraction is real, it works, and even if you don't believe it, it's still working on you.
It has been proven that thoughts produce a measurable frequency. As described in "The Secret", Joe Vitale explains that "Thoughts are sending out that magnetic signal that is drawing the parallel back to you." What this means is, whatever thoughts you have, you will see things in your life to match those thoughts. This works the same for all things, whether a memory of something you have seen, or a thought of something you would like to see.
I know I press this one pretty hard, but "The Missing Secret" by Joe Vitale is a great way to really learn how to apply the Law of Attraction to your life.
Another great resource is Napoleon Hill's"Think and Grow Rich". This book was published in 1937, and is one of the first books to reference the Law of Attraction. Many of today's leading experts on the Law of Attraction have read, and will cite this book. This book uses different terminology, but does a great job explaining how Law of Attraction works, and how to implement it. It focuses mainly on how to use it to become rich and successful, but the ideas apply to every aspect of life.
I will do my best to keep this section updated, and post things up that I think people are having issues with. The best way to really learn about Law of Attraction is to read original sources, and as much of it as possible, but still I will do my best to make this section helpful.
Please Vist back soon, I will be starting a Newsletter ASAP.

Ok, Ok, here is the best I can do for you. Law of Attraction is pretty much a way of saying that what you think most about will manifest itself in your life. Ok, I agree, that seems a little crazy, but it's true, believe it or not. Jack Canfield says, in "The Secret", that "Law of Attraction says, we'll give you whatever it is you say and focus on." This is not sensitive to whether you perceive that thought as positive or negative.
If you've ever had "one of those days" then you've really experienced a good measurable amount of Law of Attraction at work. You wake up, stub your toe on your way out of bed, run out of toilet paper in the bathroom, car doesn't start, then you're late for work. From there it's downhill even more. Your boss is all over you at work all day, you forget to bring your lunch in, etc. etc. You know how that goes.
This is a great example of Law of Attraction at work. You get yourself into a bad mood immediately, and it's just a big downward spiral. On the other hand, you've certainly had a day where it goes up all day. You wake up, your spouse has made you breakfast, you found your lucky tie that's been lost for weeks, you get to work and your boss tells you what a great job you've been doing, etc. etc.
Ok, this may be a stretch, but you get the idea, and I'm sure you've had a day like this as well. This is pretty much the idea of Law of Attraction. Whatever frequency you are thinking on, you attract more things in your life to keep you operating at that frequency. Remember, thoughts produce a measurable frequency.
Also, keep in mind, the Law of Attraction does NOT know the difference between you saying yes, and no. It just knows what you are thinking about. So if you are thinking, gosh, I don't want to have any more debt, I don't like debt, I need to get rid of this debt... You get the point. You are just attracting debt. Think about wealth and prosperity if that is what you want. Or, if you like debt, I guess just keep thinking that.
This is one of my favorite quotes of all time, and it helps explain this point, so I'm going to share it with you now. Mother Teresa once said: "I was once asked why I don't participate in anti-war demonstrations. I said that I will never do that, but as soon as you have a pro-peace rally, I'll be there."
She knew the Law of Attraction, and lived by it. She makes this clear with this statement, because if she were focused on anti-war, she would attract more war, but she knew to focus on peace.
One very important thing about Law of Attraction that many people don't understand is that your thoughts will be much more "potent" if you add emotion to them. Any literature I've seen about Law of Attraction will tell you the same thing. If you think about something with a lot of emotion, positive or negative, then those thoughts will be the ones that tend to surface. I explain why in more details in the next section.
So, if you're thinking about money and prosperitty with no emotion, then you will never attract it. You have to add emotion to your thoughts in order to create that reality. There are several methods to help you accomplish this, and I will get into them later.
Ok, How about a little more details about Law of Attraction?
After reading "Think and Grow Rich" , by Napoleon Hill, I found a slightly different way to look at Law of Attraction. Napoleon Hill introduces a term called "Auto-suggestion". According to Napoleon Hill in "Think and Grow Rich", "Auto-suggestion is a term which applies to all suggestions and all self-administered stimuli which reach one's mind through the five senses."
So basically, auto-suggestion is a term that suggests that the subconscious mind only takes in information that is deemed important by the conscious mind. So, if you think about something a lot consciously, then the subconscious mind will learn that as the truth. Based on the Law of Attraction, auto-suggestion is what will ultimately make a person create his/her own universe.
Based on the idea of auto-suggestion, if you can train yourself to consciously think that something is true, after some time, your subconscious mind will also believe it. According the idea of Law of Attraction, it is actually the subconscious mind that communicates with Infinite Intelligence. Infinite Intelligence is what will alter the physical reality, or the universe, to bring reality to the thoughts and beliefs of the subconscious mind.
Here is a little chart I've put together to illustrate what I just said:
So what you think about most, based on auto-suggestion, will also lodge itself into your subconscious mind. Law of Attraction states that what is in your subconscious mind will go through Infinite Intelligence to change your reality to fit your subconscious thoughts. The environment can also shape your conscious thoughts, if you let it. When events unfold around you, those events are then put into your memory, which can lead you to attain certain beliefs, and create certain thoughts based on those beliefs.
Every piece of literature I have read about Law of Attraction says to make sure you think about what you want with emotion. The reason for this is quite simple, and that is that your subconscious mind will take in information from the conscious mind much more quickly when there is emotion attached to it.
It is commonly known in psychology that people tend to remember things better when there is emotion attached to the information. This also applies for things you want and don't want. If you think about something with a lot of emotion, it will stick in your mind, subconsciously.
Again to quote Napoleon Hill from "Think and Grow Rich", "Plain, unemotional words do not influence the subconscious mind. You will get no appreciable results until you learn to reach your subconscious mind with thoughts, or spoken words which have been well emotionalized with belief."
Ok, how do i get the Law of Attraction working on my side?
Ok, well there are many strategies to get what you want using the Law of Attraction. Here's the catch, there are many things that can work against you here. First off, if you're thinking about something, but not FEELING it, you won't help your cause any. Law of Attraction is really the Universe working to align things with like frequencies. The Universe also responds best to emotions, not emotionless thoughts.
So, you need to line up your feelings with how you want to feel. So, think about what you want, and really force yourself to FEEL like you have it. Doing this for just a little while each day will help it manifest. But there's more. If you have beliefs in youself on the subconscious level that contradict what you're trying to put out, you're not going to attract it. You have to get every level of your being to really believe that what you want is coming. Based on auto-suggestion this means that you have to hold onto thoughts in your consciousness that have emotion attached to them.
Of all the literature I've read, the most common thread between everything is GRATITUDE. If you really sit down and learn to be truely grateful for what you already have, you will start to attract more things into you life that will make you feel that way.
So, a good exercise to try, sit down and write a journal. Remember, feelings are what the Universe is looking for here. So write down in your journal everything you can think of that you are grateful for. Add in why you are grateful for that. It doesn't have to be anything extravogant, but you have to start somewhere. While you are writing this out, make sure you really FEEL grateful for it. If you don't attach feeling, it will never manifest.
There is another good method called the "Option Method". I got this from Joe Vitale's audio book, "The Missing Secret" This method was taken from Mandy Evans. This Option method helps you to figure out what "counter intentions" you have inside yourself that might be leading you away from what it is that you want. To do this, you should write down in a notebook or journal the answers to the following questions.
1) What are you unhappy about?
2) Why are you unhappy about that?
3) What are you concerned would happen if you were NOT unhappy about that?
4) Do you believe that?
5) What are you concerned would happen if you did not believe that?
These questions should help you to really get to the root of your thoughts and emotions. Once you know why it is that you're feeling the way you are about something, you should find it easier to get to the bottom of it and change that thought or feeling.
What if I have nothing to be grateful for?
I call shenanigans on that. Everyone can think of something to be grateful for. Joe Vitale explains in "The Missing Secret" about how he used to be homeless, and literally the only thing he had was a pencil. So, he'd sit down and write with his pencil about how grateful he was to have it. You obviously have a computer in front of you, which is something, so figure out SOMETHING to be grateful for.
If you're still not convinced that you can find something, check out this YouTube video. If he can find a way to be happy and grateful, I'm sure you can as well.
Ok, so I've found something to be grateful for... now what?
I knew you could do it!! Ok I won't rub it in that I was right about that, but good job, let's move on now.
So, now that you have something to be grateful for, write it out, do it as often as you are comfortable doing it. Don't let it become a chore, and don't do it so often that you don't actually feel grateful or happy to have that something in your life. You will also want to make sure that you attach emotion to this. Feel the feelings of being grateful as you write this out, don't just do it as a chore.
Now, try another exercise. Write out what you WANT to have, but write it present tense, as if you already have it. Don't be presumptuous though. By this I mean, don't presume that you know how to get what it is that you want, or that there is only one way to get where you want to be. Just think about where you want to end up, and again, add emotion to these thoughts as best you can.
Think about having the money you want, and the family you want, living in a place that you enjoy being in, and having a job you love. Don't imagine yourself with a specific person, living in L.A. with a specific job. Imagine what you want, and maybe things will change. Maybe you decide that you actually like San Diego better, and that this other person really makes you happier, and you like your new job better.
So again, don't be presumptuous.
Ok, I've been thinking about what I want, now where is it?
Assuming you have removed all mental blocks on how to get there, which I'm not pretending like I can share everything you need to know here, and still recommend "The Missing Secret", you now need to take action. Maybe there are opportunities popping up in your life. You need to act on those.
Remember that guy in the bar last weekend that asked for your number but you got nervous and gave him the number to the local Pizza Hut instead? Or that idea to start your own business, that you had two weeks ago? How about when you decided it would be a great idea to take a day off from work and visit a friend? But, you didn't follow through on any of it did you? Well, the Universe is lining things up for you, and you're not taking action. If you're not taking action, you're not going to get anywhere.
Ok, I feel like I'm starting to get there, now what?
The key idea is to keep reading more, keep focusing on it, and don't make this a phase. If you really want to see change you have to keep slowly working to improve yourself. Start reading books, go to the source material, and learn as much as you can. Never give up on it either. If you start feeling like it's not working, that's what you're going to get!
A useful thing to remember, is that anytime you're feeling any negative emotion, you're then not in line with what it is that you really want. If you think about what you want, and you feel yourself doubting your ability to get that, then you're not going to get that. Find out why it is that you're feeling negatively towards it, and work to remove that thought, belief or feeling.
I can't stress this enough either, keep learning more!! The more you learn, the better you'll understand. Maybe you will read something that you haven't heard about yet that really makes that big difference for you. Also try to remember to focus on what you want, and not what you don't want.
Here is a good little story as an example of what I'm talking about. I was reading through a forum the other day about Law of Attraction, and I read a post about these endangered dolphins in some European country (sorry for not remembering what country). The "men" in that country, or teenagers trying to prove manhood, as I recall, were slaughtering these doplhins. There was post after post after post, you get the idea, of people who were AGAINST this. Do you blame them? That's a pretty horrible thing to happen. There was only one person who did not focus on disapproving of the act, but on something OPPOSITE of that. This was the one post that made sense if you truely understand the Law of Attraction. I pointed out to everyone that they were focused on what they don't want, but the point is, even people who clearly seem to think they have a good grasp on Law of Attraction, were posting about what they don't want. I will end this page off with the video that was posted that was what you SHOULD be thinking about if you're agaisnt animal cruelty.
